Welcome!
I’m Matt Goyer, the author of Lake Life Seattle, managing broker and real estate agent at Urban Living and I live on Lake Union with my family in a floating home. We’ve been living in Eastlake and on the lake for nine years and love it! We’re even raising our daughters (Ani (8) & Zoe (5)) on the lake. Over the years we’ve lived in five floating homes (!). First we rented on the 2025 dock at the Log Foundation, then rented at Mallard Cove. We now own two homes at Mallard Cove. We completely gutted and renovated one (check out the video below!) and built a brand new home from scratch so if you’re looking to remodel or rebuild a floating home, I’m happy to chat!
I put this site together as a resource for those looking to join us on the water, hopefully answering all your questions about life on the lake. But of course, you can only learn so much from a website! So feel free to reach out if you’re thinking of joining us on the water! I’d be happy to help you find the perfect floating home, houseboat or waterfront home.
Prior to becoming a real estate agent I sold a food-tech startup, ran marketing for Redfin and worked as a program manager at Microsoft. I hold a Bachelor of Mathematics with a major in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, so I’m always happy to geek out on pricing!

Our portfolio
Here are the waterfront homes, floating homes and houseboats we’ve helped clients buy and sell. From Bainbridge to Vashon, from old time floating homes to a waterfront Kundig Olson designed home, from $300k to $5m, we’re thrilled to have helped many realize their dream of living on the water.
